Description:
This is a picture viewer for the HTC Touch that has a little more of an intuitional feel (kinda like the iphone though it has some major differences).
You can use the touch screen for everything including changing pictures, panning, and zooming in or out. Right now 2 mega-pixel images take about a second to load (used to take 4-5!).
Here's how to control it:
To use gesture mode check "Gesture Mode" in options menu, to use double-click mode uncheck "Gesture Mode."
Gesture Mode:
- Sweep your thumb to the left to move to the next picture.
- Sweep your thumb to the right to move to the previous picture.
(for sweeping, start with your thumb/finger off the phone, otherwise it'll mistake it for the panning gesture).
- Press on the picture and then move to pan.
- Double-press to change to full screen.
Double-Click Mode:
- Double press to switch between panning and switching pictures/zooming.
- Move picture with finger in panning mode.
- Zoom by moving finger up/down in non-panning mode.
- Switch pictures by moving finger left/right in non-panning mode.
Press on the menu to activate it (it requires being activated before you can use it, trying to find a way around this).
Update Description:
v1.7:
Ok well as I'm sure you all know, it's been a while since my last update. Unfortunately, this one isn't too much bigger, although some of you will appreciate it, I'm sure. I've changed it so that installing now places the pvlog.txt and pvstartsettings.log files for you which has an upside in that if your picture viewer gets messed up, you don't have to manually do it(also helps me since I don't need to explain where it is to every1), but, of course, a minor downside in that when you reinstall, you have to choose the directory again. For many of you, the difference will be very small(you'll have to choose the directory and set up your settings again) for some, it'll render the program useful again, so for those of you that this helps, enjoy. On a side note, I decided I just changed the installer so no reason for a new version number.
And... Another Edit! This 1 is actually a little more substantial. First off, I fixed the choose picture menu so when you're done with it, it returns focus to the picture area, letting you move your picture. Also, pressing the center button swaps the focus(like it's supposed to.) That out of the way, here's a new feature. You can now change the background image from the options menu. There is a button to change the picture and a button to return it to the default picture, in case you decide you liked that better. It will also remember, what picture you had as the background last time you ran the program. I figured some of you have a picture you'd like to use more than mine so, you can now use that . As always, let me know if you have any problems.
v1.5:
This one makes the program quite a bit more stable (it still takes a fair amount of memory, enough for it to crash once on mine, although when I repeated the same steps it didn't crash so... whatever) and also sizes the picture to the default size when you change pictures (so if you zoomed in and panned around, the next picture you go to will be normal).
That also helped it to be a little more stable since it can load in a smaller picture.
